Fini Flight al 31st Fighter Wing  -  2016

Lo scorso 08 giugno, si è svolto il tradizionale “fini flight” del Maj. Gen. Barre R. Seguin che dopo pochi giorni cederà il comando del 31° Fighter Wing al Brig. Gen. Lance K. Landrum. Dopo due anni molto intensi passati al comando del 31° Fighter Wing, il Maj. Gen. Seguin ha effettuato l’ultimo volo nei cieli di Aviano al bordo del “suo” “Viper” ( s/n 89009, flagship del 31 Fighter Wing) avendo come “chase” il Cap. Danny T.. Dopo l’atterraggio ed il tradizionale passaggio sotto l’arco formato dai getti d’ acqua di due mezzi antincendi dei “Firefighters” ( Vigli del Fuoco ), il Maj. Gen. Seguin, è sceso dal suo aereo ed è stato raggiunto dalla moglie che dopo averlo salutato lo ha lasciato in balia dell’ idrante “gestito” dai suoi figli, con il quale lo hanno bagnato completamente. Il “lavaggio” è poi proseguito ad opera del comandante dell’Operational Group che ha innaffiato il Maj. Gen. Seguin con una bottiglia di spumante. Si è poi passati alle foto di rito davanti all’F16 ed ai saluti ai presenti. Anche noi dell’AAFG  abbiamo avuto il piacere di poter essere presenti e di poter fare un omaggio al Maj. Gen Seguin, per salutarlo e per ringraziarlo dell’amicizia che ha sempre dimostrato nei confronti                                                                     del nostro Gruppo in questi due anni “intensi”.

On 08 June, there was the traditional "fini flight" of Maj. Gen. Barre R. Seguin that after a few days will hand over command of the 31st Fighter Wing to Brig.Gen. Lance K. Landrum. After two intense and demanding years as 31st FW Commander, Maj Gen Seguin has done his last flight in Aviano skies on board "his” Viper (s / n 892009, the 31st Fighter Wing flagship) having as "chase" Capt. Danny T.. After landing and the traditional passing under the arch formed by the water of two fire fighting vehicles of the Aviano AB "Firefighters", Maj. Gen. Seguin, dismount from his airplane and was joined by his wife who after greeting him left him at the mercy of hydrant "managed" by his children, with which they completely wet him. "Washing" is then followed by the Operational Group commander who watered Maj. Gen. Seguin with a bottle of “spumante” wine. After the usual photos in front of the aircraft with family, Maj Gen Seguin hailed all the guests. AAFG also had the pleasure to be present and to be able to do a tribute to Maj. Gen. Seguin, to say hello and to thank him for the friendship that has always shown towards our Group over the last two years.
