Il Comandante del 510° Fighter Squadron incontra gli amici della Base di Aviano
Domenica 30 gennaio l’Associazione degli amici della Base di Aviano ha avuto un’opportunità di trascorrere una serata assieme al Comandante del 510° Fighter Squadron Ten. Col. Gregory P. Sarakatsannis ed alcuni piloti del Buzzards. Per l’A.A.F.G. è stata una grande occasione d’incontro con il “Buzzards team”, che ha aiutato ad incrementare la conoscenza ed amicizia reciproca, e chissà, anche possibili futuri progetti che potranno coinvolgere A.A.F.G. e Buzzards. Dopo la cena c’è stato uno scambio di doni. Particolarmente benvenuto il presente del Comandante del 510° Fighter Squadron agli amici della Base di Aviano, le bandiere americana ed italiana portate in volo nel corso di una missione operativa in Afghanistan, con l’F-16CM Viper 11, matricola 89-2018, proprio dal Ten. Col. Sarakatsannis. Gli amici della Base di Aviano hanno donato al Comandante del 510° Fighter Squadron una edizione speciale del calendario realizzato per il centenario dell’aeroporto di Aviano. Partecipanti all’evento anche il Capitano Agneta E. Murnan, capo delle Pubbliche Relazioni del 31° Fighter Wing, e Luisa Merlo sempre dell’Ufficio Pubbliche Relazioni , che hanno onorato l’Associazione della loro presenza.

510th Fighter Squadron Commander meets Aviano AB Aviation friends Group
Sunday 30th of January the Aviano AB Aviation Friends Group members has had an opportunity to spend an evening with 510th Fighter Squadron Commander Lt. Col. Gregory P. Sarakatsannis and some pilots of the squadron. For the Association has been a great occasion of meeting with the Buzzards team, which has helped on growing the respective acquaintanceship s and friendship, and who knows, new project involving A.A.F.G. Buzzards team in the next time. After the supper there has been an exchange of presents. Greatly welcome has been the 510th FS Commander gift for the Aviano AB Aviation Friends Group, the American and Italian flags that were flown on a combat mission aboard a United States Air Force F-16CM Viper 11, tail 89-2018, over the Afghanistan, really by Lt. Col. Sarakatsannis. Aviano AB Aviation Friends Group has given to the Commander a special edition of a 2011 calendar celebrating the centennial of the Aviano AirBase. Participating the event also the 31st Fighter Wing Public Affair Chief Capt. Agneta E. Murnan and Luisa Merlo 31st Fighter Wing Public Affairs Office, who has honoured us of their presence.
